The 8 Limbs of Yoga: A Road Map to Spiritual Transformation
Saturday June 8th 2:30 - 5:30 pm
The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali are the foundation of Yoga philosophy and describe eight principles, which with consistent practice, can guide the yogi toward liberation and the bliss of the true Self. In this workshop we will discuss these ancient teachings and explore how these spiritually sound practices are eminently relative to our modern lives. We will begin with an interactive study of the 8 limbs and conclude with a themed asana practice and meditation. This workshop will deepen your understanding of why we practice yoga and increase your awareness of its benefits in every aspect of your life. Instructor: Rebecca Curland

The voice is an arrow to the heart of desire. Carried on the wind, it takes us to the fire. Classes will include Yoga of the Voice practices as developed by Sylvia Nakkach of the Vox Mundi Project, author of “Free Your Voice”.
Intended for “singers” and “non-singers” alike! Offerings will include vocal meditation, chanting, Sanskrit devotional songs, delightful rounds and songs taught in the oral tradition, and vocal exercises designed to help free your voice. There will be some movement to engage the whole body. This will not be postures like in a yoga class, but movement specifically connected to using our voices. Bring water to drink and wear comfortable clothing.
“Keep knocking and the joy inside will eventually open a window to see who’s there.” Rumi
