Yin Yoga with Maria Bacon

Yin yoga is for everyone. Yin Yoga is designed to cater to to the more “yin” aspects of our bodies, the bones and joints that are crucial to overall body health, and the more yin aspects of our Self; our reflective, nurturing, intuitive side. Yin yoga will allow the body to relax and to help release the connective tissues to create a counter balance with long, passive holds to work into the deeper connective tissues of the body. This practice will open up the tissues surrounding the hips, pelvis, and lower spine to create a massage like experience. You will learn about the functions of the major organs of the body, as well as the meridians (pathways) of energy that flow through them and how to strengthen and nourish them. Wednesdays 7 pm
